| Keith was born on 26 April 1922 at Bala, Muskoka ,Ontario. His father was born at Gravenhurst, Ontario and was the manager of Bala Golf Club and his mother, who was deceased by the time of Keith's enlistment, was born at Whiteside, Ontario. He had two brothers Arthur Gilbert and William Hope and also two sisters Betty and Margaret. He attended Bala Public School. 1928-1938 ad Bala High school 1938-1939. He also took a WETP course at Galt Aircraft School, Ontario between 1941-1942. His sport interests were hockey, baseball, tennis and golf. Keith mainly undertook general work at service stations between 1939-1940 and then as a factory hand 1940-1941 for Amalgamated Electric Corporation, Bala. |
| On 25 April 1942 Keith enlisted at Hamilton and after training he was posted to the U.K.,embarking from Halifax on 3 May 1944. He was at 3 PRC on 11 May 1944, 24 OTU 13 June 1944, 61 Base 13 September 1944. He eventually arrived at 428 Squadron on 12 November 1944. Sadly it was from there that Keith was to lose his life the following month on 28 December 1944. |
