Miscellaneous Information
Lloyd was born on 16 November 1921 at Chatham, Ontario. His father, who was deceased by the time of lloyd's enlistment, was born in Bath, Somerset and had worked as a Section Leader and his mother was born in Hollingwood, near Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He had one brother, Stephen. The schools he attended were in Windsor, Ontario: Wyandotte School 1931-1933 and then Patterson Collegiate 1933-1940. His hobby was reading and he liked basketball, baseball and shooting. Lloyd worked at C.H. Smith & Co. 1940-1942 in both Shipping and the office and was then an Office Clerk at C.P.R. Windsor between 1942-1943. In December 1942 he enlisted. |
He sadly lost his life on 17 March 1945 from 619 Squadron. No movements are shown on his service records. |
