Miscellaneous Information
Born 4 November 1918 at Stody near Holt, Norfolk. His father Thomas died on 26 February 1919 in Barrow in Furness. The family emigrated to Canada on 2 September 1927. Evelyn remarried and became Mrs. Ward. Louis became a stepson and lived with the family at McIntyre Street, Regina, Saskatchewan. Evelyn was married a total of 6 Times. |
Louis had enlisted as an Aero Mechanic in Regina on 11 June 1940, trained and served at RCAF Vancouver and 6 RD Trenton, Embarking on 8 February 1942 and arriving at 3 PRC on 20 February 1942. Posted to 415 Sqdn at Thorney Island 3 March 1942 - 2 September 1942. Remustered to F/E and trained at St. Athan 4 S of TT course 14, 2 September 1942 - 7 October 1942 to 1654CU and posted into 467 Sqdn 23 November 1942. |
