His DFC appeared in the London Gazette on 23 March 1945. He had flown 44 ops between May and December 1944 and had been posted to 627 Sqn (Tiger Force) 30 June 1945. |
It is not currently understood why he is commemorated on the Runnymede memorial if he died in hospital. IBCC invites anybody with further information to kindly get in touch. |
