Reason for Loss | Aircraft struck the ground and crashed at RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire whilst attempting an overshoot during a routine training flight. Cause not fully established. Both pilots ejected but were killed because the aircraft was too low for the ejector seats to be effective. |
