Reason for Loss | Killed when the SAAF aircraft he was flying in as a passenger crashed. He was taking part in a boxing tournament. The team's trainer, Mr. P. P. Peters, an ex-Army sergeant, and who was a B.A. welterweight champion in 1932 and inter-services champion for three years, was aboard and was also killed. The aircraft came down 20 miles North of the Limpopo river and 20 miles East of the Tuli. |
