Op deze plaats maakte in de nacht van 8 op 9 September 1944 een Short Stirling met registratie LK200 NF-J een noodlanding. Er warn 7 bemanningsleden. Bij de landing kwamen 3 bemanningsleden om het leven en zin er 4 krijgsgevangen gemaakt
