Miscellaneous Information
Educated at Gravesend County School where he was junior and then senior swimming champion and was also a keen rugby player. After leaving school he worked for Unilever where he also played for the works rugby team and also in the single tennis league.. Thereafter, he enroled with King Alfred College, Winchester to train as a teacher. It was here that he gained his rugby colours and also continued to play tennis for the college. He was also a member of Hartley Players, an amateur dramatic group which exists to this day. |
