Reason for Loss | Shot down by a night fighter flown by Oberfeldwebel Paul Gildner of 4./NJG1 at at 2305 hrs. It was later established that all except the Observer were killed and were eventually buried in the Sage War Cemetery. The Observer, Sergeant Grundy, was captured and was detained as a PoW in Stalag Luft VI at Heydekrug. |
