Miscellaneous Information
Isadore was born at Winnipeg Manitoba on 18 December 1918. His father was born in Hungary and he worked as a Produce Merchant and his mother was born in Romania. He had a brother Harry, shown on his enlistment papers as next-of-kin, who lived in North Carolina, Wilmington. He attended Englewood Public School in New Jersey, USA 1926-1932, followed by Englewood High 1932-1935 on a scientific course. He then went to Montreal Tech 1935 -1936 studying Aeronautics and Aviation Motors. For sport Isadore participated in football, swimming and baseball and his hobby was freehand drawing. His occupation was a Salesman for the Ideal Mayonnaise Company 1936-1940 and he then enlisted on 22 June 1940. |
After training he was posted to the U.K. and after embarking from Halifax he arrived at 3PRC on 29 June 1941. He then went to 10 OTU on 7 July 1941 and 102 Squadron on 18 August 1941. Sadly Isadore was to lose his life on 8 November 1941. |
