Translation "On the night of 27 to 28 April 1944, six weeks before the invasion, 144 British bombers attacked the large railway yard near Montzen. The formation was intercepted by German nightfighters which shot down 15 aircraft. A bomber crashed here near Cartiels. Halifax LL243 of 434 Sqn RCAF" |
