Miscellaneous Information
The Whitley came in to land slightly higher and faster than normal and appeared to be about to overshoot the runaway. The aircraft bounced and on the second bounce the pilot appeared to open the throttles to go around again but the aircraft stalled and veered off, narrowly missing a hangar, then continued on until it collided with the Hampden. |
