Operation | Kiel. 382 aircraft- 17 Lancasters lost (4.6%). PFF marking was hampered by the use of smoke screens. Despite this, the local report details a very serious raid with concentrated bombing on the centre and surrounding districts. The fires were fanned by strong winds. 134 people were killed and 1002 injured. |
