Medical practitioner (M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P.) and member of the University of London Officer Training Corps (London Hospital) he was commissioned for the duration of hostilities as a Flying Officer in the RAF Medical Branch on 28 November 1939 and promoted to Flight Lieutenant on 28 November 1940. He served as Squadron Medical Officer with 103 Squadron, including service in France 1940 and died in an airplane crash when the squadron was stationed at RAF Newton, Nottingham, England. |
