| North Creake ORB: “There was only one item of medical interest during last month. On the 6th [sic] February, 1945, an airman was found in a state of coma in his billet. He was immediately brought into the sick quarters and placed on the Dangerously Ill List. Later he was flown in an Oxford aircraft with the medical Officer and orderly to R.A.F. Station, Witchford, where an ambulance from R.A.F Hospital, Ely, was waiting to transfer the patient to the hospital. The patient died a few hours after admission. This was the first air evacuation from the Station since the Station was formed.” |
