Miscellaneous Information
| Emil was born in Winnipeg Manitoba on 22 January 1920. His father was a postmaster, born in Galicia, Austria and his mother (who was deceased by the time of Emil's enlistment) was born at Brokenhead, Manitoba. He had a brother Leonard and a married sister Olga. He attended Woodrow School, Lowland, Manitoba. 1924-1931, Lac Du Boanet, Manitoba, 1931-1932. He also undertook a Correspondence Course with the department of Education between 1931-1934 and went to the Radio Training Centre at Winnipeg from 1939 onwards. |
| Emil enlisted on 7 April 1941 and after training was posted to the U.K. Embarking from Canada on 2 May 1942 he arrived at 3 PRC on 13 May 1942, 407 Sqn.13 June 1942, No. 4 S of TT 16 June 1943, 1659 CU October 1943 and 419 Squadron 6 December 1943. Emil sadly lost his life on 25 February 1944. |
