Reason for Loss | Killed in one of two intruder attacks on RAF Honington on this day. The first attack took place at 16:15 hours and although little material damage was caused, four servicemen were killed and many injuries were reported. Some reports state that HE bombs were seen to fall on the parade square, which might account for the number of casualties. |
