Miscellaneous Information
Born 25th January 1914 in Lewisham, Kent. Went to school in Eastbourne and then joined the Eastbourne Reporter as a trainee reporter before moving on to the Middlesex Advertiser and then the Reading Evening Gazette. Married Patricia Martha Gallagher in September 1939 in Westminster. Joined the army pay corps and in April 1940 he attested to the RAF. Commissioned in October 1941 and joined 10 Sqn at Leeming on 3rd April 1942. He was killed a month later. |
