PoW Number 134. A serial escaper who was recaptured a number of times before eventually escaping from Stalag Luft VI for long enough to set up a network to assist other escapees. It is presumed that he as eventually captured by the Gestapo and executed. He has no known grave and is therefore commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial. |
