| Born 9 March 1923 in Maidstone, Kent and Christened Percy Leslie Froud. |
| Both of his older brothers served in Bomber Command. The eldest, Sgt. Kenneth Percy Froud, Flight Engineer, was killed on an Op with No. 77 Squadron on 26 July 1943 in Halifax JB838 - see losses.internationalbcc.co.uk/loss/209842. The middle brother, WO Maurice George Froud, completed a Tour with No. 614 Squadron as a Wireless Operator between August and November 1943 and survived the war. Percy and Kenneth are commemorated side by side on Panel 167 at IBCC. |
