Miscellaneous Information
Known as Karl.
Born in Mauritius in 1922. Karl was the fourth eldest of nine children. All his siblings migrated to Australia in the 1950s and as at October 2024 only one, Roland Claude Falck, remains alive.
Karl was an excellent student gifted in mathematics and wanted to become a pilot. Karl saw the RAF as an opportunity to gain the skills. He was also possibly motivated after his older brother John volunteered for the British army and fought in Tobruk, amongst other campaigns.
After enlisting, Karl was almost immediately relocated to England. Family members recall that he had entered into a serious relationship (possibly engaged) with an English woman by the name of Barbara.
