Miscellaneous Information
Perry was born on 12 June 1913 at Hamilton, Ontario. His father was born at Napanee and worked as a Salesman and his mother was born in Hamilton (died 1938). He had three brothers , George, Walter and James. He attended the Mutchmore Public school in Ottawa followed by the Glebe Collegiate, Ottawa (Senior Matric). His sport interests were basketball, rowing, tennis and skiing. Perry worked in the family business of Detlor Motor Sales Ltd. where he was the Service Manager, Secretary and Treasurer between 1934-1940. He then enlisted on 24 June 1940. |
