He attended Bablake School, Coventry from age 11 to 17. He was granted a commission for the duration of hostilities in July 1941. The March to July 1944 edition of 'The Wheatleyan' gave a brief obituary: "At the end of last year we heard with deep regret the F/O Raymond Clarke (1930 – 1936) was missing from operations and presumed lost. He was 23 years of age". His name can be found on Bablake School Memorial. |
