Reason for Loss | Dorothy died with Flight Lieutenant Jesse Jennings when the RAF van he was driving crashed 20 feet into the Forty Foot drain between White Bridge and Three Pots in Chatteris , Ely, Cambridgeshire, drowning them both. Tragically, it appears that the submerged van was not discovered for two days. The drain is notoriously dangerous and is still claiming lives today. |
