| CGM Citation: "Warrant Officer Busby, now on his second tour of operational duty, has taken part in a large number of operational sorties against targets in Germany, Italy and enemy-occupied territory. He has secured some excellent photographs. By his outstanding skill and courage this Warrant Officer has set a splendid example to the other members of his squadron." |
| His CGM was presented to his father, Mr. F.G.C. Busby, at an investiture in Ceylon on 19 November 1946. |
