Operation | Morlaix- to attack a railway viaduct. The bombs of the first six Bostons missed the viaduct but exploded in the middle of the buildings and houses of the Ursuline, Créou, Carmelite and Calvary districts. The viaduct was close to civilian housing and tragically 80 local people were killed in the attack, including a teacher and thirty-nine children aged four to seven and educated at the Notre-Dame de Lourdes school. |
