The aircraft crashed on Mornington road, Bolton. His widow denied at the inquest that he had been doing aerobatics and said she saw the aircraft, one of three in the area at the time. Although another witnesses, who held a pilots licence, said it was carrying out a display of aerobatics. (Dundee Courier, 5 November 1941) |
