| 1387682 Sgt Frederick Charles Cowan survived the crash. He was born 30 August 1920 Stamford Hill, Middlesex. He was 23 at the time they were shot down and was from Dagenham, Essex. He had married Lilian Jessie Thomas earlier that year. He suffered slight burns and cuts. He was incarcerated at Stalag IVb Muhlberg until 6 May 1945. Died 1991 in Braintree, Essex, aged 71. |
