Operation | Scholven-Buer synthetic oil plant. 324 aircraft, 4 losses (1.2%). Thick cloud necessitated the use of Oboe sky-markers. Bombing was accurate and the refinery was badly damaged. The local report states that 300 high-explosive bombs fell in the compound. The local towns of Scolven and Buer was also hit and the nearby coal mine was damaged. |
