Reason for Loss | Coventry Evening Telegraph June 29th 1942: "Fatally Injured at Fire-Fighting Display. A 28 years old member of a bomb disposal squad, Corporal William Robson Walker, has died at Rugby Hospital following injuries received when he was a spectator in a fire-fighting display demosntrating the extinguishing of a German incendiary bomb." The same paper on June 30th reported that he was struck by a bomb splinter and suffered a fractured skull. |
