Qualified as a Pilot on Course 43 at 19 OTU Kinloss and then posted to 9 Squadron 23 December 1943. Killed 8 January 1944 on his first operation, but flying as Flight Engineer. This crew were probably known to him as they also graduated from the previous cohort at 19 OTU Kinloss. |
