Miscellaneous Information
Mentioned in Despatches March 1941 |
There are two memorials to this aircraft and its crew in France: One in the town square in Pont St. Martin, the other a few miles away close to the location of the crash. Both memorials are shared between Wallington R1374 and Hampden AD750, both of which crashed in 1941, not far apart. In the UK there are two additional memorials at the former site of RAF Newton. The preserved control tower has a weather vane featuring the insignia of Wellington R1374 |
