Reason for Loss | Aircraft took off from Waddington at 2349 hrs detailed to attack targets in Hamburg. Shot down by a night-fighter flown by Lt. Ernst Weiss of 1./NJG3 at 0324 hrs. Aircraft crashed onto pastere land belonging to a farmer by the name of Jakob at Ristedter Moor near Vechta, 15 kms SSW of Bremen. |
