Reason for Loss | Aircraft disappeared in strange circumstances. It is believed to have entered the defensive zone around London and later all contact was lost. There was some enemy activity in the area and this, together with 'friend fire' and icing problems, were put forward as theories for the loss of the aircraft. No wreckage was ever found |
