Leant out of a third floor window in Schubin PoW camp in an effort to better see what lay beyond the perimeter wire, lost his balance and fell to his death. Cause of death was a fractured skull. He was part of the mapping team of the Intelligence Department and it was his job to create a map of what lay beyond in readiness for an escape. |
