Reason for Loss | 49 Squadron Association Researcher (Colin Cripps) believes that Flt Sgt Jowett may have been killed when Wellington, serial P9235, from No.1 Air Armament School crashed at Kenwick Bar, near Legbourne,2 miles SE of Louth, Lincolnshire shortly after take off from Louth, apparently colliding with a hill. |
