| Reason for Aircraft Loss | Aircraft took off from Langar at 1828 hrs detailed to attack targets in Wilhelmshaven. Hit in the wing by Marine flak from Abt.282 Battery Horumersiel and floating Battery Arkona after being coned by searchlights. This made the aircraft lurch and it then collided with 106 Sqn Lancaster R5750, both crashing at 20.47hrs, ED330 coming down on mudflats at Hooksiel. |
