Reason for Loss | Aircraft took off at 1805hrs for a cross country flight. Shortly before 2340hrs Chobaniuk made a distress call. The aircraft flew low to try and obtain view of airfield when running out of fuel. Clipped a wing tip on the ground and crashed at Holt Farm, Sketchley, S of Hinckley |
