Miscellaneous Information
Born 11 August 1923, Edinburgh. After the war the family emigrated to Australia where his mother Helen died on 29 July 1956. They returned shortly after but later Thomas and Daughter Elizabeth moved to Wellington, New Zealand. They returned to England and were living in West End Avenue, Harrogate. Thomas died on 21 July 1972 in Dunbar, East Lothian. Kennedy had a brother, Walter, 747914 Sgt. Walter Fraser posted missing on 14 November 1940 returning from ops to Merseburg aboard Whitley T4230 of 10 Sqdn, thought to have crashed into the North Sea, remembered on the Runnymede Memorial. |

Reason for Loss | Shot down by a night-fighter flown by Fw. Wilhelm Kurreck, of 8./NJG3 and crashed in flames 1km NE of Grossenaspe and 10km South of Neumunster at 23.50hrs. The crew were initially buried in Neumunster Civil Cemetery on 8 April 1943 and were reburied on 6 September 1946. |
