Born 1921, Tendring, Essex. William was born from Alices's 2nd marriage. After he was born, she married Lt. Cmdr. Lillistone Powys Lane, RN. After the war, William's medals were posted to his mother, she was living at Mount Pleasant, Singapore. She had been an actress. William had enlisted before the war as an Apprentice Clerk, he had been posted into 207 Sqdn on 5 March 1942 from 25 OTU Finningley. He flew 17 Operations with P/O Doble. |
