| He was born on the 5th May 1912 and resided at 79 Stepping Stones Road. He received four years' education at Bablake from 1924 to 1928. Until enlisting in September 1940 he was employed in the City Architects' Department. 'The Wheatleyan' OF December 1941 records that in this term a visit was paid to the school by Leslie, despite being in Lincoln. Leslie is buried in Concarneau Communal Cemetery, which contains three graves of the Second World War, all airmen, all of whom died on different dates. Secretary of the Baths Social Club until the outbreak of war and also the Wheeler’s Cycling Club. Married and enlisted RAFVR September 1940. |
