He was born on 6 March 1923 and attended Bablake School from 1934 to 1938. He resided with his wife at 17 Emscote Road, Coventry. Prior to enlisting on 7 June 1941, he was employed at the National Cash Register Co. Ltd., of Coventry, where he had been employed since leaving school on 16 December 1938. In his last term at school he had proved himself as a very efficient form monitor. |
