Miscellaneous Information
| Joseph was born on 20 August 1918 at De St.Valier, Montreal. His father (deceased) was born in Gillard, Massachusetts, USA and his mother in St Justine, Quebec. He had one brother, Germaine. The schools he attended were Ecole La Mennais, Montreal, 1924-1930 (primary), Sacre Coeur Collegiate Institute 1930-1932 (commercial and scientific), and Ecole de Plateau, Montreal 1932-1935. The two sports he took part in were tennis and skiing. Joseph was a painter and in 1935-1936 he worked at Herbert Studio as a decorator and then as a painter at M. Menegheni 1936-1942. |
| He enlisted on 8 October 1942 and after training embarked for the U.K. on 16 July 1943 arriving at 3PRC on 23 July. He went to 23 OTU on 3 August 1943. Sadly Joseph lost his life from there on 17 October 1943. |
