Reason for Loss | Practicing night circuits and landings but crashed, with fatal consequences, within five minutes of commencing the exercise. At the inquest into the accident, which occurred just off the East Lound to Graizelound road, near Haxey, Lincolnshire, concluded that the pilot had been obliged to take evasive action in order to avoid a midair collision, and in doing so he lost control and spun to the ground. |
