| Reason for Aircraft Loss | Hit by light ship's flak on return journey while at 4000', badly injuring the rear gunner and causing considerable damage to the aircraft. Undercarriage and flaps u/s. All the crew were injured in the crash-landing and F/S Davidson died the following day in station sick quarters, RAF Waddington, after having his leg amputated. |
