Reason for Loss | Shot down by a night-fighter flown by Hptm. Rudolf Sigmund of 10./NJG10. Crashed at 02:31 hrs onto mudflats 2km east of Hippolytushoef (Noord Holland) and 14 Km ESE of Den Helder. The bodies of the crew were recovered at low tide and buried on 2 July 1943. |
