Reason for Loss | Returning from a night out in Lincoln, by train, a group of armourers from 49 Squadron then caught the ferry to cross over the Witham to Fiskerton. Some of the airmen fell in the river and become trapped under the ferry. LAC Cousins and one other airmen drowned |
