Reason for Loss | Take off at 1301 to practice overshooting procedure. At around 1445 and at 200 feet, the port engine failed, and the airplane dropped about 100 feet before the pilot could arrest the descent. At 500 feet the engine cut completely, and at 1446, the Wellington hit a tree, near Clipston, Northamptonshire. One crew killed and four injured |
