Miscellaneous Information
Born 26 August 1922 in Dover, Kent. His siblings were Ada, Percival (who died at the age of 5 while his father was serving in France during WWI), Douglas and Eric. All of the boys served during WW2 and all but Cyril survived. Cyril attended Christ Church Hospital, Dover and then worked as a gorcer at International Stores on Woolcomber Street, Dover. The family returned to Dover after the war. He is remembered for taking his younger nephew and niece on walks when he was home on leave. |
