Just after 0400hrs the aircraft was attacked by a night fighter believed to be from 11./NJG5 flown by Ltn Georg Fenk at a height of approximately 6000m. The aircraft suffered severe damage and the fuel tanks were ignited. The aircraft crashed at Lake Motzener, Mittenwalde. |
